The Daily, The First iPad Newspaper, Launches With Gossip Section And All

First impressions: gossip section, really? The carousel view feels jerky. Besides that still checking out content. The big question, if it downloads new content whenever it is open and connected to the internet, does it automatically delete old content? Otherwise all that content is going to take over your iPad.

The State of the Union Address 2011: the Infographically 'Enhanced' Version

You undoubtedly already know that U.S. President Barack Obama has released his State of the Union Address of the year 2011. What some of you might not be aware of though, is that the televised and streamed address also exists in a "enhanced" version.

The dual-screen version partly resembles a PowerPoint presentation in terms of conveying traditional lists of bullet points, quotes, facts or figures, but partly also tries to show the data-driven evidence behind some of themes that were addressed through different forms of data graphics.

In anticipation of TED 2011 here is a look behind the scenes at TED 2010. Wonderfully moving and a peak at what it takes to produce TED each year. I remember when I discovered TED in 2006 via podcasts. I've seen every talk released so far. Discovering TED wasn't just about "ideas worth spreading," but also about ideas worth studying, worth learning.
